Meet Kyle J. Shiffler, DDS, MD
Dr. Shiffler holds both dental and medical degrees and his greatest priority is providing an exceptional patient experience.
About Dr. Shiffler
Dr. Shiffler is from Portland, Oregon, and began shadowing an oral and maxillofacial surgeon when he was only 15 years old. From this age on, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in oral surgery where he can relieve pain and improve his patients’ well-being.
After completing his residency, Dr. Shiffler searched for a practice with an excellent reputation for providing top-tier care. He knew that Utah Surgical Arts would be a great fit because everyone here values the patient experience and he is excited to be a part of a team of talented surgeons and staff. Dr. Shiffler always takes the time to understand the needs and concerns of his patients and goes above and beyond to provide outstanding care and results.
Education & Residency
After earning a BS in neuroscience from Brigham Young University in 2012, Dr. Shiffler earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2016 and his Medical Degree (MD) from Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed his oral and maxillofacial residency at the LAC + USC Medical Center.
Certifications
Dr. Shiffler maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Outside the Office
Dr. Shiffler enjoys weightlifting, reading, watching football, and spending time with his family. Three fun facts about him are: his guilty pleasure is Tillamook ice cream, his favorite TV show of all time is Seinfeld, and his favorite vacation spot is Hawaii!
