Dr. Eric Wood performs the full scope of oral surgery services and treats every patient with compassion and honesty.
About Dr. Wood
Dr. Wood knew that oral surgery would be the perfect fit for him because he has a passion for working with his hands and loves being able to implement his years of experience in both dentistry and medicine. He was drawn to Utah Surgical Arts because he felt that the overall culture of this practice was something special and knew he could add to the team’s exceptional standards of care and treatment.
Knowing that he can help people restore their confidence, comfort them throughout treatment, and improve people’s lives, Dr. Wood is happy to be able to come to work each day. He has the utmost confidence in his training and looks forward to the opportunity to establish a connection with all of his patients. Dr. Wood is highly skilled and experienced in treating facial trauma, dental implants, anesthesia and sedation techniques, and bone grafting, and he proudly offers the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery to patients of all ages.
Education & Residency
Dr. Wood studied economics at the University of Utah and interrupted his studies to participate in a church mission in Ukraine from 2005 to 2007. When he returned, he finished his undergraduate education in 2011 and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry in 2015. He completed his residency at the University of University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix, where he worked alongside highly talented specialists. Taking other people’s care into his hands is something that he takes seriously, and he feels honored to communicate with his patients and provide them with excellent care.
