The Natural-looking and Healthy Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental implants offer a natural looking and healthy tooth replacement option for patients suffering from missing or failing teeth. Over time, prolonged tooth loss can cause dental shifting and jaw bone atrophy. Dental implants prevent these issues, and with a high success rate are the preferred tooth restoration solution.

A single dental implant has three parts: a titanium post that is surgically implanted into the jaw bone to reinforce its structure, a custom-made crown designed to match your existing teeth, and an abutment piece to connect the post to the crown.

This revolutionary restoration method is available at our Lehi, UT, location. We are located amongst the bustling Wasatch Front just north of Lake Utah with the picturesque Jordan river running through the city. For personalized treatment and compassionate care, contact our Lehi office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Harris, Dr. Park, Dr. Brown, Dr. Wood, or Dr. Holladay.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

1

Versatile

You can replace one tooth, multiple teeth, or an entire arch of teeth. The All-on-4® treatment concept uses four implant posts to secure a fixed denture and restore oral function.

2

Bone health protection and preservation

Dental implants replace the entire tooth with an artificial tooth root, and stimulate the jaw bone to prevent atrophy. Dentures and other removable options only sit on top of the bony ridge and do not prevent bone atrophy, dental shifting, or other problems.

3

Enjoy your favorite foods

Unlike removable dentures, implants remain in your mouth while eating so you can enjoy all of your favorite foods without restrictions.

4

Improved self-esteem

A complete smile can improve your self-esteem and quality of life. Dental implants look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.

At Utah Surgical Arts in Lehi, UT, we use state-of-the-art CBCT technology to take 3D images of your face and mouth. These images create detailed surgical guides to help place your dental implant. Our team of oral surgeons are highly trained and experienced to perform dental implant placement and will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan based on your specific needs.

Types of Dental Implants in Lehi, UT

  • Single Implants. A dental implant can be used to replace one missing tooth anywhere in the mouth, provided you have enough adequate jaw bone to support it.
  • Implant-Supported Bridges. Traditional bridges require adjacent healthy teeth to be shaved down to support the bride. An implant-supported bridge protects your natural teeth and also benefits your jaw bone health.
  • Same-Day Implants. Our surgeons can place an implant post immediately following a tooth extraction, as long as you have enough jaw bone, greatly reducing the number of necessary appointments.
  • All-on-4® Treatment Concept. A fixed denture can be secured with as few as four dental implants posts, fully restoring your oral aesthetic and function.

Zirconia Implants

Utah Surgical Arts offers zirconia, or ceramic implants for patients with titanium allergies and sensitivities. Zirconia implants provide the same benefits as traditional dental implants in a metal-free option. Many patients claim ceramic implants look more natural than traditional implants because the color of the material is already white, making it easier to match their natural tooth color. For more information on ceramic implants or to schedule a consultation, contact us in Lehi, Utah and one of our staff members will be happy to help you.

Who Is a Candidate for Dental Implants?

Most patients with a missing tooth or teeth are eligible to receive dental implants.

Generally, if a patient is healthy enough to have a tooth removed, they are healthy enough to receive a dental implant. However, certain medical conditions may affect your candidacy or make additional procedures necessary. You may not be a candidate for implant-supported tooth restoration if you have any of the following conditions:

  • An underdeveloped jaw bone
  • You smoke or regularly use tobacco products
  • You have severe tooth decay, periodontal disease, or bone loss

The technology of implant dentistry continues to advance, making it a possibility for more patients than ever before. Our team of oral surgeons at Utah Surgical Arts in Lehi, UT, will assess your oral health and help determine if dental implants are right for you. We encourage you to contact our office to schedule a consultation and begin your journey to a healthy and complete smile.

Dental Implant Surgery in Lehi, UT

Your oral maxillofacial surgeon will perform your dental implant procedure at our office in Lehi, UT. We will create detailed surgical guides using the most cutting-edge CBCT scanning technology to ensure your implants are placed with the highest level of precision.

First, your oral surgeon will make an incision into the gum tissue and place the post into the jaw bone. Over the next 3 to 6 months, the post will integrate and become the foundation of your replacement tooth. While your mouth is healing, your restorative dentist will create your custom crown. Once the post has completely fused with the jaw bone beneath the gums, the implant will be exposed during a second surgery to attach the abutment and place your personalized crown.

At Utah Surgical Arts, you can trust in the extensive training and experience of our oral surgeons. They are acutely aware of the importance of facial aesthetics and experts on managing the surrounding bone and soft tissue. When placed by a professional, dental implants are the preferred long-term tooth replacement solution.

We use the highest quality of dental implant materials and technology to produce remarkable results.

Dental Implant Cost and Value in Lehi, UT

The cost of your dental implant will be determined by many factors including the number of implants, your insurance, your choice of anesthesia, and if you require an extraction or bone grafts. We will go over all of this with you at your consultation appointment and provide you with a cost estimate prior to treatment.

Removable dentures, bridges, and other options are less expensive upfront, but can cost more in the long run because they do not prevent jaw bone atrophy.

With dental implants your replacement tooth is securely attached to your mouth, making it a permanent part of your smile, and completely restoring your oral function. You will be able to enjoy all of your favorite food without restriction. Restore your smile and improve your quality of your life by investing in dental implants today at Utah Surgical Arts.

AAAHC Accreditation

Utah Surgical Arts is approved by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This accreditation is difficult to obtain and allows our office to function as a hospital and/or surgical center. Since extensive surgeries must be performed in a surgical center, there are many instances where the patient may be unable to undergo surgery due to the high cost of the hospital or surgical center. If your surgery can be performed at Utah Surgical Arts, the cost savings may be significant. Many patients who were unable to have the procedure due to the high cost involved were able to have the procedure performed at Utah Surgical Arts.

Types of Anesthesia

Our surgeons at Utah Surgical Arts offer many anesthesia and sedation options for patients to choose from.

"So, the first time I came to see Dr. Park, I had a tooth that needed to be pulled, and I also had an empty space below that tooth that had been missing for a few years, and I came in and had the tooth extracted, and then he also put in two implants. Dr. Park and his office are fantastic."

"My procedure was really easy; he just took out my tooth, put in a bone graft and let it heal up for a couple months, and then he put in a dental implant. So easy, it took, like, literally five minutes; it was so simple. I was actually really scared, but he was super great, and it went really fast."

Jane testimonial photo
"My best friend, her daughter works here, so they referred me here to Dr. Harris. He was very gentle when he did my implant. He explained everything that was going on — how I would have to have my bone grafted — and he told me that it would wait a while and the reason why you’d have to wait is so that your implant would be more perfected. He was kind to me, and he did not waste my time, and I really appreciate that."

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you put to sleep for dental implants?
When a dental implant is placed immediately following a tooth extraction, sometimes only local anesthesia is necessary. For most dental implant surgeries, your surgeon will administer IV sedation. This will put you into a sleep-like state, and you will wake up with no memory of the procedure.
How painful is the dental implant procedure?
There is discomfort associated with any surgical procedure, but most patients only require local anesthesia for the dental implant procedure. Any post-operative pain or discomfort can be managed with over the counter pain medication.
Is there a cheaper alternative to dental implants?
Removable dentures and bridges are less expensive up front but do not prevent bone loss or atrophy, and if not fitted properly can cause painful sores.
Can I get a dental implant years after an extraction?
Yes! You can still get a dental implant years after an extraction, granted there is enough healthy jaw bone to support the implant.
